In less than 90 days, Adobe will officially have a new CEO. To Wall Street, he wasn't the "rational choice." Still, Anil Chakravarthy could reshape the company, turning it into the commercially safe content system brands need in the AI era. My thoughts: theaieconomy.substack.com/p/adobe-four...
Been using Grammarly in Google Docs lately, and it's been buggy. Fixing sentences at top of the page can result in fixes being inserted into header section. And sometimes it warps entire sentences, so I have to manually fix the fix. Assuming it's the cost of AI?
Using Claude and Otter AI as part of writing and frustrating. Constant hallucinations and refusal to accept context. Always provoking me w/wrong feedback. When ask for timestamps on transcript, it doesn't read it—gives rando answers. Context makes it better, right? LOL.
@flipboard.com @flipboardcs.bsky.social are you experiencing issues? I can't flip any articles from my Android device.
📑 Bookmarks are now available on Surf on the desktop, Android and in TestFlight, so you can save posts, videos, podcasts and anything else that catches your eye on Surf. Connected your @bsky.app or Mastodon accounts? Bookmarks from there also show up in Surf.
My approach to what stories I write for my "The AI Economy" newsletter is evolving. Now, I'm looking to focus more on deep dives—better understanding the workshop vs. the showroom. Here's what you can expect: theaieconomy.substack.com/p/the-ai-eco...
I attended Glean's customer conference in SF last week. The company pushed context hard—mentioning it 61 times in a press briefing. The argument was that for AI to truly succeed, it needed to know everything about an org. Without it, AI just burns money. theaieconomy.substack.com/p/glean-cont...
Media pros: what type of recorder do you use for interviews? Do you record for transcription an/or to use in podcasts?
I *think* I have figured out my manifesto for my newsletter. Now I just need to put pen to paper and write it out.
Ai2 says its AutoDiscovery tool has helped researchers at the Paul G. Allen Research Center identify immunotherapy potential in "cold" breast cancer, specifically invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC). Read about the findings in my newsletter: theaieconomy.substack.com/p/ai2-autodi...
The AI Built to Be Surprised Flags a ‘Cold’ Breast Cancer
Ai2's AutoDiscovery found immune activity in invasive lobular carcinoma, long written off as immunotherapy-proof. The lab work confirmed it.

Frustrated with @adobe.com Firefly—why can't it generate what I'm looking for? These requests are hours apart, and still Firefly can't generate images. I have available credits!

AWS just open-sourced Dogwood, a policy language that governs what AI agents are allowed to do. The twist: its rules can factor in what an agent already did—how much it's spent, whether a human approved, what came before. theaieconomy.substack.com/p/aws-dogwoo...
AWS's Dogwood Writes Rules That Remember What Your AI Agent Already Did
The new open-source policy language brings temporal logic to agent authorization. The old model judged one action at a time. Agents broke it.

When I set about vibecoding an app, it's less about building something to solve a problem. I'm also trying to use it as an opportunity to explore third-party tools/platforms I'd only written about before. Am I the only one?
I find it annoying on YouTube when ads are inserted into live broadcasts. Trying to watch Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson's press conference about the interim police chief and the Seattle Center shooting, only to have it be interrupted by an ad.
