There has been a lot of talk around whether tables should use the 2014 D&D rules or the 2024 rules. Which one is better? Which one is “proper”? Should everyone convert immediately? Should everyone stubbornly cling to the old books like a dragon sleeping on a hoard of discontinued subclasses? Personally, after being a Dungeon Master for many a year, or Dungeon Mistress as my players call me, I have landed on a much less dramatic answer.
