I am very proud of creating Lost & Found Black Child. I am proud of what is becoming and what it will become despite the slow growth. I know what I am doing is very niche and will only reach a specific demographic and I am grateful for anyone who believes in what I'm doing.πβ¨

Issue 4 is a zine that weaves together my own religious trauma w/ my mom, Mother Teresa whose image of motherly sainthood often obscured the suffering she upheld & The Binding of Isaac, a video game that reimagines the biblical story through the eyes of a child fleeing his mom's religious psychosis
Issue three is a zine that discuss the topic of benevolent patriarchy. It highlights the movie Waiting to Exhale. In my opinion this movie really shows the idea of benevolent patriarchy and how the problem of being a "good man" is still harmful.
Issue two is a zine that explores the Black Southern Gothic genre. I highlight some of the pioneers of the genre (Toni Morrison, Alice Walker, Zora Neale Hurston, etc..) and connect to historical moments & personal experience as a Black southern femme.

But I still have other important things to pay for: Medication, more labs, gas for travel, supplements, fix my phone screen, etc.

Iβm so sorry love. They really donβt give af about us. Their love for us stops at co-opting and appropriating our languages, cultures, foods and turning us into memes like minstrel but when weβre suffering and need help to not lose our lives and livelihood theyβd rather buy a white streamer a new PC
