One of the unexpected gifts of this line of work is the freedom to choose how I spend my time. This fall, I want to give more of it to causes that matter. A few hours volunteering at a local food bank this week left me feeling like I’d spent them exactly where I should. 💞

I'M BACK and can't wait to share what I've been up to with the wonderful friends made this adventure possible! ✈️ Currently digging through approximately 8 million photos, but hoping to have a blog post and other goodies to share within the next week or two. (Interest is piqued? It’s not too late!)

Once a year, I open the door to my biggest travel adventure. This September, I’ll be disappearing abroad for the entire month, and I’m keeping the destination completely off social media. Want to be in the know? Sponsors get the destination, stories & exclusive surprises. 👀🌍

A WWII fact I learned from a podcast today: A 5° difference in screw threads cost the Allies ~$100M, over $1B today, because US (60° thread) and UK (55° thread) parts weren’t interchangeable, forcing them to ship separate supplies overseas. 🇺🇸🇬🇧 The 60° standard wasn’t unified until 1949.

Gentlemen, my deposit policy is clearly stated and consistently applied. If a deposit isn’t right for you, I understand — please choose a provider whose policies better suit you rather than reaching out to challenge requirements you’re unwilling to meet. Respecting boundaries saves everyone time. 💌

I keep a Notes list full of random thoughts because I don’t always have a chance to post when I think of them. Today I found: “Delays snow missed dentist and chocolate on face” I have absolutely no idea what that meant, but apparently Future Me was expected to figure it out. 😂

Gentlemen, a little spatial awareness goes a long way. Do your seatmates a favor and check your arms, legs, and feet periodically to make sure you’re not encroaching on others' space. (Spent a 3hr flight getting my foot stepped on by a guy who couldn’t stop manspreading. 😩)
