One of the fascinating things in the David Bowie Centre was seeing his handwriting change from neat to scrawl; you got an immediate sense of the urgency of capturing an idea or a lyric.
At a time when concept albums had fallen out of favour, David Bowie and Brian Eno dived into a character-driven concept piece. I've always felt incredibly lucky to have seen David Bowie's Outside tour. Not only was it an amazing experience to see the mangetism of the guy live on stage, the choice of songs on that tour was superb. So many gems and rarities, some performed for the only time in his touring career.
