Tomorrow is my second annual Birthday Extravaganza on stream! Gonna hang out and do a long stream, bouncing around between various co-op and "nonsense-with-friends" (I don't like the term "friendslop") games, probably have a few drinks, and celebrate! Twitch creators appear to be adding 'aioptedout' to their content tags to help indicate to audiences that they have toggled it off. Twitch CPO Mikey Minty was asked about an "opted in/out indicator" yesterday and said they had no plans to implement one for viewers.

Added my own feedback to that Twitch User Voice thread about Twitch/Amazon using our streams to train GenAI that just went live on Twitch. It's actually so, so, gross. I just want to have a fun place to hang out with my community, support myself, and generally chill. Why does it have to be so HARD?

This is ON by default! If you DON'T want Twitch to use your account to train Generative AI, make sure you go to your settings and turn this OFF!

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.
