Was wondering if I’d need to do a flopsweat button meme between “firing off preregistered Take (sore loser/winner classes)” or “grasp at stuff to whine about” but paused to check; my faith at the site’s ability to dual track has been thoroughly vindicated

I spend a lot of time complaining about parts of Rob Sand’s schtick but “data centers are whatever as long as they’re paying for their additional load requirements and working with the local authorities/communities & if not too bad for them” is a decent approach for not stapling yourself to a Glonzo

A base spec Honda accord in 1993 would run you about four inflation-adjusted grand more than a current base spec Honda Accord which will run until the heat death of the universe while also being superior in every other respect except maybe the convenience of its setup for smoking cigarettes

also, cheap stuff has actually gotten way better quality now. this is a 1985 chevy cavalier. 88hp engine (although it was fuel injected!), and basically no creature comforts [a/c was an option, same with an FM radio]. it would last you maybe 100k miles. It cost the equivalent of $27,000 today.

the "people like novelty almost precisely as much as they like to complain but neither holds a candle to how much they like not spending money" discourse is going to be reoccur in various forms like a particularly obnoxious cold sore until this website dies

ME: why the fuck does my entire bathroom smell like Pitralon? *looks down to see where hyperabsorbant bath mat still has suspiciously dark spot where I dropped the bottle a couple hours ago and spilled a little* ME: welp

Me: The new agent harness is great. You feed your tokens into the machine. Then you run simulations which, if successful, produces tickets. If they fail you have to buy more tokens and keep running the sims. Once you have enough tickets you can redeem them Boss: are you at dave & busters, yes or no
