Christians NEED this world to be terrible in order to make their claims about the next one more appealing. That's why so many have supported Trump and Republicans!

Just a Dude. Atheist. Anti-theist. Anti-Authoritarian.
Does MAGA realize that Trump made us pay for his Tariffs TWICE? First, when they increased prices, and then again when our tax dollars were used to pay back the corporations when the Supreme ruled them illegal. Twice. We paid twice!
Successful by what metric? I think it was a "vibes" success for conservatives and evangelical Christians.
Something I think that underlies a lot of debates within the Democratic party and center-left right now is whether or not you think Trumpism has been successful as a political and ideological project. (Not, obviously, whether it's been good or not).
Keep calling your senators. And remind them of all the other reasons Todd Blanche should never be AG.
Huge holes remain in the deal Blanche made to get his AG nomination back on track—a deal not endorsed by Trump’s lawyers, just for starters. Then there’s his immunity from tax audits. Cornyn and Tillis not only have nothing to celebrate, they-and the entire GOP – should be ashamed.
🚨Don't fall for it. Todd Blanche didn't rewrite Trump's controversial IRS deal. He released a late-night DOJ memo designed to help secure the votes for his confirmation. We read the fine print. Here's what it actually says. 👇
Todd Blanche's Midnight Confirmation Gambit Doesn't Actually Rewrite Trump's Deal
And the "concerned" senators and much of the media are falling for it.

"Under that memo, the federal government is “barred and forever precluded” from any investigation, review or prosecution of any action by Trump or the business empire he runs with his children."
Blanche order keeps intact immunity deal barring investigation of Trump and his family
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche’s Sunday night memo formally rescinding the $1.776 “anti-weaponization” fund leaves intact another key provision for President Trump: an order offer…

Is it just me, or does it seem like Christians only care about people if they are other Christians like them?
The problem I have with Christianity is that people use it to hate people they might not have otherwise hated, rather than to love people they might not have otherwise loved.
No country with hungry kids should have anyone worth a billion dollars.
Who looked at this administration's pandemic response and thought: war with Iran? 🤦♂️
How do you tell the difference between someone who speaks for God and someone only says that they speak for God?
Christians like to lie about their cult leaders. They're usually awful people. So why do we think their portrayal of Jesus is honest? Wasn't he just another crazy Christian cult leader?
become an election worker if you can
It’s the question hanging over American politics like a dark shroud: If Donald Trump is willing to plot insurrection, ignore court orders, & purge the DOJ and the FBI, what’s to stop him from simply stealing the 2026 midterm elections? open.substack.com/pub/thecycle...
Besides having the worst politics ever, this guy was married to a woman even Don Jr wouldn't give a ring. More skeletons in his closet than a Spirit Halloween. There is, literally, more oppo on this guy than anyone else in the history of the game. And they'll run one-source stories on the front page
Gavin Newsom would be great as the 2028 nominee if you want to spend the entire campaign defending his personal life www.nytimes.com/2026/07/28/u...

We need to take God off our money. He doesn't belong there!
Many Christians think Trump is "honest" and a "godly man" according to a recent survey. If this is their judgment, shouldn't we grade their view of Jesus on the same curve?
If you spend your whole life afraid of being wrong about something, you're guaranteed to be wrong about a whole lot of things.
The Old Testament is only valid for a Christian when they are using it to judge someone else.
Reports are that 20% of the Republican base may not even vote in the mid-terms.

What if the Christian view of Trump is just as off as their view of Jesus?
Expand the courts! It solves so many problems. Jamelle Bouie is great!

We can't impeach all the horrible judges Trump has appointed. The only option is to pack the courts and dilute their influence!
