Book update: Finished one book (The Girls We Send Away; so good. So sad.) Started second book but it’s just not grabbing me. Is it bad to toss it back to the library and move to the next book? (Also, I have my kindle on airplane mode so all these books have been sent back for other readers)
I will never forget watching it on tv. Instead of going to get king cake. It’s the day we started thinking about living in a different country.

The youngest child just looked at me and declared that he’s not going to sleep when we get home. Son, you will be having a Come to Jesus meeting if you stick with that decision.
We are still not in Berlin. I have almost finished a binge watch of Ted Lasso season 1. I want a shower. I want to go to sleep.
FINALLY leaving Munich. Oy. I just want a shower and clothes I haven’t sweated in.
Why do people in Munich just leave their trash behind them?!
All the curse words in all the languages. Train cancelled because the train is too hot to safely be on the tracks. Heat waves can kiss my southern ass. Munich Hauptbahnhof is awful to be stuck in. Thankfully found a couple of seats in Starbucks.
Heat index is 104 in Munich right now. Over it.
I don’t even know which pics to post from today. I thought we’d like Walchensee. I didn’t expect to fall in love with it! Clear, cold water. Mountains. Cool breeze. Good food. Memories made and plans to go back!
Just finished reading The Mad Wife. Y’all. I would’ve read it in one sitting if I could. Absolutely amazing. I can’t say much about it but I didn’t even suspect the twist.

We are taking a train for vacation to hike a mountain. I packed both pairs of Birkenstocks and we brought food for the train. I’m feeling German!
