I have to talk again about how much -fun- my fic in LRP was to write! I went out of my way to include as many characters and tell this story in a series of as non-traditional formats as I could, and had a blast stretching those writing muscles✨ Please go check out this zine, you won't regret it~

Over the last 2 weeks I've written 24k (14k just last week), finished Cruise Control and got it all on Ao3 for All Ships Week, and met zine check-ins. So I can face plant onto the floor, right? -Looking at my newest base wig and the pile of cosplay sewing to be finished before Halloween- ...Right!??

As if focusing on his partner can bring other details into sharper focus, Riddle discovers that the rumble of Floyd’s snores does in fact drown out the creaking of the ship, and that the rise and fall of his chest distracts him from the ‘motion of the ocean’, as the man himself had called it earlier. Even now, Floyd is Riddle’s stable rock, standing in the turbulent sea of his life.

It's wild just how much fun I'm having writing the fic for LRP! Gotta keep it under wraps ofc, but I -can- say that I'm using a familiar format for all kinds of brand new storytelling mechanics, and it's got me giggling the whole way! I hope it both entertains you and makes you laugh a bit, too~

Preview text: Trey is visibly relieved, but his reaction almost pales in comparison to Floyd’s. The merman scoops up Riddle’s suitcase with a single arm and swings it over his shoulder. “Alrighty then, Goldfishie! I’ll take your stuff over to my room for ya~” For the first time all day, Riddle feels a familiar fire rise within him. “Give that back, Floyd!” It is stoked all the more by Floyd’s laughter, echoing off the walls and staring students as Riddle shoots off magic in the pursuit of retrieving his luggage. “Uh-oh!” His eyes glitter with mirth. “Goldfishie’s mad again~ Catch, Jade!” He tosses the suitcase to his twin, who catches it with unfortunate ease and an even more unfortunate smile. “I take it that our task now is to ensure that Riddle’s belongings are conveyed to Octavinelle without delay?” “No it is not!” “You heard ‘im, Jade. Hop to it!”

(All of them tbh) But I'mma shout out "The Legend of Sidon: Breath of the Asthmatic" and "Fairly Twisted Parents", since they're not only the longest fics I'd written, but what I poured the most unrestrained silly joy into worldbuilding! I'd even say it was more like "playing", not just "writing" 💖

I'm super loathe to be like, 'I'll totally have my fic for TFTHY all finished and posted online!' esp with how accomplishing exactly that for Fandom Smashup took a -lot- out of me, but I can't help myself!! At the very least I'd like to complete its outline, THAT itself would be a victory 😅
