I had the best time at Open Sauce—and I can prove it! (At least within ±1µs...). Full video here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziPI...
Amazing event! It was great to see Jeff again with his accurate time keeping tech. Hopefully next year is even better.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Gabe for the last 6 months. I wish him the best going full-time as a designer!
A bit of news. www.printables.com/article/leap...
I’ll be at @opensaucelive.bsky.social this weekend with the Positron Team wearing my Positron Backpack through-out the event. If you spot me please say hi!
So I had Gemini create two front end games as a proof of concept, to learn more about how this works. I gave it the bare minimum prompts and it spit out very playable games entirely html/css/vue.js. It's scary how easy it was to do. Mitch3D.com/puzzle.html Mitch3D.com/wordoku.html

Anyone else having an existential crisis about AI lately? Like anyone with half a brain can write fully functional apps for very bespoke use-cases. Besides the economic and environmental impacts, I have anxiety of what this really means for humanity; good or bad.

My multiboard journey begins... The workbench had a standard pegboard backing but it wasn’t easy to customize so I fell into the multiboard rabbit hole. Its a free modular storage system using 3D printer optimized models. multibuild.io
I have a childhood dream project, I've wanted to build a lego train rail that goes around the perimeter of my room. I can 3D print mounts, but Lego is expensive and they're not powered rails anymore. I don't really want to get into HO scale hobby, maybe 3D printed train and tracks?
Open source hardware is awesome. I had a user on Printables make a feature suggestion to add a list of screw angles instead of just opposing sides and I was able to add and test it fairly quickly.
New PrintoSapiens episode finally dropped! 😅😅 Sorry it took so long... The Z-axis is apparently the most complicated axis of a #3dprinter youtu.be/_eSKsJUbIxI

I used the EM3D Scanner App to get a rough mesh in Fusion for a sketch profile I could use to create a form-fitted handle. You use "Create Mesh Section Sketch" then "Fit Curves to Mesh Section" and trace a sketch line to follow the mesh profile. I find 3D scanner reverse engineering is very tedious.

Custom lampshade printed in vase mode. Fairly easy to design with a sketch and revolve pattern. Set extrusion width to 0.6mm with a 0.4mm nozzle. Perfect print with Prusa Core One.
I got a crt monitor that I dragged here when I moved but didn’t know what to do with it. Well I moved the Core One printer to the other side of the shelf and now use the crt as a secondary monitor. 1280x1024@60hz seems to be the sweet spot (even though it could do 1900x1200 somehow).
This is what happens when you leave your Prusa XL unattended! 🛠️ The Dummy 13 crew by Soozafone staged a takeover: the big boss runs the control panel, a techie tunes the toolchanger, and one guy is already ordering Prusament on his laptop. And the rest? Pure party mood! 🎸 1/2
Day 34/365 Printing on Vintage Hardware. Exactly how fast is a Cupcake?
Skadis compatible shelf hangers, is this something that would be useful?
Towel clip for oven handle with curves. Measure the square dimensions, guess the intersection points, and use fit point spline. Perfect fit on first print!
I started this shelf project about 6 months ago when I moved into my apartment. I developed a parametric dowel rod connector system to build it then I had the hardest time motivating myself to finish it. I had to problem solve since I built it with basic tools and my Mk4/Core One printing 6+kg PETG
I saw we're doing 2016 throwbacks. On this day 10 years ago, I was making the first prints on a Mendel 90 we built for the "How to build a RepRap 3D printer" class I taught at the Dallas Makerspace. I would have never guessed I'd be making a living working on 3D printers founded by RepRap today.

Clever @prusa3d.com Core One+ design. With 4 simple PETG printed parts, they were able to redesign the filament switch to disengage the ball detent, which usually restricts TPU. No extra hardware needed.
