And now I can get to my annual summer tradition of reading a thicc boy (because the summer is the only time I really have to read something without many interruptions). Last year’s was Eleanor Catton’s The Luminaries. Bonus points if you can guess which 20th century classic this is 🤓

Happy hump day! In the tradition of reading novels by writers from countries I’ll soon visit, I picked up Vargas Llosa’s last novel. This is my 2nd novel by him and I remain unimpressed. Any recommendations of Peruvian writers I should check out?
