I feel sorry for people who didn't grow up with true boredom. The kind of rainy day in the 70s or 80s with only black & white films on TV, nothing to do on a hot Saturday, or empty time after a school day boredom. There was self discovery, reading, experimentation, play - and joy - in that boredom.
Food security rarely disappears overnight. It erodes quietly — one poor harvest, one drought, one farm at a time. The shelves still look full. That's the problem.
