Sometimes I feel like I have been disconnected from publishing (in as little as I was connected to it in the first place) for so long that the very language of talking about books has changed even those speaking it haven't, and I have no receipts, evidence or examples to qualify that.

How to be an artist: 1) Set up your workspace so it is absolutely perfect. Sharp pencils are more important that what you do with them 2) Pick either Ko-Fi or TipJar, and build a website around that 3) Plan a few answers for difficult convention questions 4) Go have a sandwich, you've earned it

The British people who base their star rating for locations in other countries on how well the staff speak English need to stop doing that, it's confusing for those of us who *don't* want to be babied wherever we go.

One of my primary Broken Elder Millennial traits is not understanding people who can use headphones in public to calm their anxiety. Like I literally need to be aware of every single external sound so I know where the (inevitable, surely?) danger is going to come from.
