Today marked 50 years since Carolina Circle Mall opened. This was the mall I grew up going to and was the original inspiration for this channel. It sadly closed in 2002 and was demolished in 2005, but I will always remember the fun times I had with my family there.

Today would've been my dad's 77th birthday. I loved that man so much and still do. He was the reason I became interested in electronics, vintage computers, and Packard Bells. Miss you daddy. We're still waiting on Fire Fight 2!
I bought a 7th Gen Intel Core i5 Dell Optiplex 5050 from 2018 the other day for just $40 at Goodwill. Has a Core i5-7600 and I added 16GB RAM and an AMD RX550 video card. Going to be my little emulator/light gaming PC for my living room TV. Still a work in progress.
Why did I dub my church's livestream from last year's Christmas Eve service to a VHS tape? Because why not?
Video coming sometime this week! It will be a room tour now that I've mostly finished my remodel.
Sorry for no new video this week, but I am planning to do a livestream this Friday night at 7:00pm EDT. Would love to see everyone. youtube.com/live/6q0uniC...

Apologies for lack of videos lately. I took some time off and decided to take my wife to the beach last week. Just got home today and hoping to put a retro PC video together this week.
This year's annual Gateway 2000 Easter video is uploaded and ready for early access/Patreon. I had a lot of fun making an upgrade to give this Woodgrain 486 Gateway 2000 a lot more power. Going live Easter Sunday. Meanwhile, new video tomorrow about another 90s Dell laptop.
Believe it or not, this picture could've been much worse. Was getting things ready for tonight's stream and couldn't get a capture signal from my Packard Bell. Turns out something must have fallen on this HDMI cable connected to the VGA to HDMI box. Glad the connector was fine.
Don't forget, tomorrow night at 7:00pm EST, I will be streaming a special show commemorating my 20th year on YouTube. Gonna play lots of retro games and tinker with a couple of vintage PCs. www.youtube.com/live/jkXiphu...

I am currently working on a new video. Won't be ready in time for tomorrow (cranky vintage computer) but I'm aiming for possibly Friday.
Not a very good shot, but this is what my 1st grade computer lab at school looked like in 1996/1997. I remember using those PowerMacs quite frequently and being confused because I learned how to do everything on the Packard Bell Windows computer at home.
So I went and did it again. Just bought another Packard Bell. This is one that I actually already have, but is in pieces with a flaky board, so this one will hopefully work much better. No original HDD though. This was built February 26, 1997. www.ebay.com/itm/33634358...

New video coming soon. I'm thinking about showing the really cool eXoWin95, eXoDOS, and eXoWin31 project that gives you easy access to tons of retro PC games. www.retro-exo.com/win9x.html
