I know at least one cosplayer that went fully TERF BECAUSE she loves Harry Potter so much that I can't even begin to understand these people.
Fsyco@fsyco.bsky.social Β· 3d agoThe weirdest part to me of there being a continuing Harry Potter fanbase is that HP as a brand has not had anything new or culturally relevant in over a decade. Those Fantastic Beasts movies were *bad*. Feels like its sustained purely by marketing and nostalgia.
Legitimately the UK needs to be dismantled because it's the most dysfunctional country I can point to. It's a place still playing by 12th century rules in the modern world.

Something I think about a lot is how we feel like we always need to be positive with each other instead of quietly pulling one of us aside and saying "hey this isn't as great as everyone is saying." This applies to everything and not just something people are creating.
