One of my favorite decisions made by Jason Blundell from Origins onward in BO3 is ditching those dusty cringe characters from WaW and BO1. Offensively stereotypical and low-key racist caricatures were replaced with much better measured and respectful characters. It is a direct glowup for the 4.

Right wingers pretend to care about agency with their whole "bootstraps" bullshit however 1. They are lying and are more than willing to suppress their agency the first opportunity they get 2. Their beliefs are incoherent because they lack systemic critique and are blind to the material conditions.

My sympathy for Bear plummeted during the cat scene 5 minutes in and at the end of the movie I just wanted him to rope. At no point did I feel like the movie was trying to tell me "this guy is a human too and he is also a victim".
