Everyone involved in "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" last week should be thoroughly ashamed at such a blatant ripoff of "Event Horizon". Plot points, dialogue...I mean. C'mon. Well-made and directed, but slightly unnecessarily graphic. It's depressing it was one of the better episodes, too.

So, the question is: is Spider-Man: Brand New Day setting Peter Parker up for "Secret Wars" to be 6-armed 1971 Spider-Man from the comics, or are they going to make him Man-Spider?
I can't get over this weird "movie gestalt" thing, where people en-masse exclaim a given movie that's not that great is "the best". Charitably, "Brand New Day" is maybe third place out of the four movies. "Homecoming" and "No Way Home" are so, so much better.
