Trump announced the Venezuela invasion as a drug war at 4 AM. By noon he was talking about oil companies spending "billions." The pretext lasted 12 hours.
The DOJ released a letter they'd known was fake since 2020, let it spread for hours, then exposed it. This isn't incompetence—it's strategic contamination. When you mix verified evidence (flight logs, $851K overtime, flagging directives) with known fakes, both become suspect. That's the trap.
