The door knocking, during my morning 'movements' only for it to be Jehovah's Witnesses was not the one.

So instead of a third trailer we’re getting a whole TV show on Netflix for GTA VI
11 year old has discovered Lynx Africa which is really helping with getting me in the zone when writing my 90s novel. #AmWriting
There were technical gremlins galore, all of which were my fault, but I still had an incredible time talking with Ajay Chowdhury about his latest novel, Eden Falls, which I absolutely love! Come here what he had to say before my unscheduled exit! youtu.be/Z0jRfmrPspc

Okay, so I was planning to upgrade to an Xbox series X before GTA VI later this year, but now they’ve whacked the price up, so you all need to buy my books. Sorry, I don’t make the rules. That’s just how it is.
Writing a scene in a church with a reverend giving a sermon on love and sacrifice, and my playlist throws up Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah. That'll keep it ticking along nicely.
RIP Franco Baresi. When I really started to pay attention to football beyond who I supported, that Milan team were the pinnacle, built around that defence which I would say is one of the greatest ever. A phenomenal talent.
Didn’t think I’d see it. Delighted that I have. Uefa to boycott World Cup if Fifa plans approved www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...

Tomorrow at 7pm, it's me talking to @ajaychow.bsky.social about the brilliant Eden Falls. Finished reading it yesterday and I've loved every page, so I cannot wait to talk about the book tomorrow. Is an hour enough? I'm really not sure!!!
All right I’ll do this. Drop a like and I’ll hit up random.org to generate a number and answer the question. Cross platforming it and will answer the same, so if more answers than likes, that’s why. I’m not just hallucinating!
Howe leaving felt inevitable at Newcastle, just timing that's a surprise. Thought he'd go end of last season. Is that a summer wasted & what was the tipping point? Been a lot of managers leaving close to the season start in lower leagues, Howe the 1st big casualty. Weird summer. #Football
www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... this should come as a surprise to no-one and it's not about avocados. It's about a system that is completely and utterly fucked.
The evidence that shows today's 20-somethings really do have it worse
People in their 20s are facing a tougher start to adulthood than any generation in almost half a century, according to analysis for the BBC.

RIP Bill Oddie. A man who used his platform to share his love of the natural world and in doing so, made everything better than it would have been without him.
This Friday I'll be talking to @ajaychow.bsky.social about his latest novel, Eden Falls, described as 'A clever, timely and thrilling page turner' by Jo Callaghan & 'A first-rate thriller' by William Shaw. We'll talk the book, the dangers of AI & more. Join us at 7pm, Friday 31st July. Link below.

Went to a mates funeral today which always sucks. He was a fair few years older than me, met him in my first job behind a bar where he was one of the regulars. I kinda idolised him in a way at the time. He was in his mid 30s, single, nice car, good job, loads of spare cash...
Delighted to announce that I will be at Preston Crime Fiction Festival this September, talking about; "Building The Perfect Mystery" alongside @dvbishop.com and @davidbeckler.bsky.social with @lizmistry.bsky.social moderating. Can't wait to be there. Tickets available now at the link below.
Three more reviews to hit 400. If you've read any of my books, pop some stars on it. There is nothing more useful to authors than ratings. That & telling a mate that you enjoyed it & they should read it too. Unless you hated it. In which case tell someone you don't like that they should read it.
Had a lovely chat with Verena Rose as part of her Sunday Tea with V series, about Shetland Noir. As well as myself, there are episodes featuring a number of the authors who were there. #ShetlandNoir open.spotify.com/episode/1jpl... www.audible.co.uk/podcast/Epis... www.facebook.com/SundayTeaWithV

I’ll admit to getting Marveled out after Endgame with all the series and new characters etc so I’m not up to date, stopped around ‘22. So what do I need to catch up on ahead of Doomsday? #Marvel
It appears we’ve reached the point where AI thieves are complaining that other AI thieves are stealing their slop. That didn’t take long. Can’t share the post as I insta blocked the poster.
Really impressed with the first couple of eps of Ann Droid. Very thoughtful, very funny. Diane Morgan is just brilliant, isn’t she?
I really hope Andy Burnham can deliver a period of growth and hope in this country, against a backdrop of a world that continues to make that hard. It won't be easy, nor should it ever be, but let's hope that we finally see a change in the way things are and feel in this country.
Son: this half time show is weird. Me: mate, they’ve not even bought Chris Martin out yet.
The muppets as a half time act at the World Cup final will never be topped.
I don’t know why more people don’t come to Jersey. There’s literally no other place like it. Every time I come it’s harder to leave. #Jersey
