Okay, so I was planning to upgrade to an Xbox series X before GTA VI later this year, but now they’ve whacked the price up, so you all need to buy my books. Sorry, I don’t make the rules. That’s just how it is.

RIP Franco Baresi. When I really started to pay attention to football beyond who I supported, that Milan team were the pinnacle, built around that defence which I would say is one of the greatest ever. A phenomenal talent.

Howe leaving felt inevitable at Newcastle, just timing that's a surprise. Thought he'd go end of last season. Is that a summer wasted & what was the tipping point? Been a lot of managers leaving close to the season start in lower leagues, Howe the 1st big casualty. Weird summer. #Football

Poster for an author chat with Ajay Chowdhury, who will be talking to Ben Bruce on the Facebook group; UK Crime Book Club about his latest novel Eden Falls, Friday July 31st at 7pm.

Three more reviews to hit 400. If you've read any of my books, pop some stars on it. There is nothing more useful to authors than ratings. That & telling a mate that you enjoyed it & they should read it too. Unless you hated it. In which case tell someone you don't like that they should read it.

It appears we’ve reached the point where AI thieves are complaining that other AI thieves are stealing their slop. That didn’t take long. Can’t share the post as I insta blocked the poster.

I really hope Andy Burnham can deliver a period of growth and hope in this country, against a backdrop of a world that continues to make that hard. It won't be easy, nor should it ever be, but let's hope that we finally see a change in the way things are and feel in this country.
