"Wildwood" just got a PG-13 rating. I think both this and the runtime are enough for me to know that this will 100% end up being the best animated film of this year. This is feeling like the exact thing that major studios are desperate to make happen every time: a major motion picture event.

I sincerely hope that Ridley Scott will soon be able to get both his "Treasure Island" movie and Bee Gees biopic finished in a timely manner, because if this ends up being the last film we get from him, it would be a damn shame. Even more so now that he's about to get an Honorary Oscar.

The Dog Stars (2026): I feel like this movie can't decide how it wants to paint the apocalypse. It isn't the worst thing Ridley Scott has put his name to, but not the best either. There are a lot of things present in this that save it from being absolute shit though. 6/10 (GIF unavailable)

What do you call this genre of movies? The one where the movie already had a perfectly good title, but then some stupid executive decided it would be a good idea to change it during its promotional push despite trailers and posters already containing the original/better name?

Might as well just let the antitrust case go to court and let David Ellison find out for himself what happens when his overly confident head is in his ass for too long. He's basically just continuing to prove everyone right with his complete and utter incompetence. variety.com/2026/film/gl...

At this rate, there are only ten films left that are confirmed to be coming out this year that I can say I'm hyped for. Might as well provide my list. -Artificial -Clayface -The Devils -Digger -Dune: Part Three -Forgotten Island -Godzilla Minus Zero -Resident Evil -Whalefall -Wildwood

At this rate, I'm fully expecting "Wildwood" to take home the next Best Animated Feature Oscar. This movie looks like a once in a generation event that can't be missed and I'm fully expecting it to make every second of its official 140 minute runtime count.
