I would like to take a moment to retract that thing I said 47 years ago about going to bed early being a punishment.

Max Miller is the perfect example of a principle I’ve learned is foolproof when it comes to toxic people: You can learn everything you need to know about someone by the way they handle being confronted with things they definitely did.
If there is some level of guilt even guiltier than just guilty, that Max Miller dude is it. Dude throws major psychopath vibes.
I took this picture of the fog rolling in over Belfast Harbour in Belfast, Maine a couple weeks ago. At first, I didn’t like it for a combination of dumb and fussy reasons. It’s growing on me.
It’s always “You have ADHD.” Why is it never “Thank you for telling me about the geologic history of what is now New Jersey after having spent hours reading about it because you saw this cool rock outside a Barnes & Noble, Mike.”
How long before coders laid off because of AI develop their own AI to sabotage the AI that got them laid off?
What in the actual Mario Brothers?! This ginormous mushroom as big as a softball sprung up in my yard.
I was up at the buttcrack of dawn this morning when it was still dark out. It had been pouring all night. Took this picture with my phone. It isn’t even a shot of something. It just captured… I don’t know… the vibe? Regardless, I like it.
It took one sixteen-hundredth of a second this morning to make my whole day. That’s a ruby-throated hummingbird. They’re beautiful birds, aren’t they?
Sign guy is going through some things apparently.
Weekly tradition time: ending the week with some shared joy. Tell me something good. What good thing happened in your life this week? Took the road less traveled or beat the traffic home, both work. Just something good.
This wildfire smoke… more like Lake Eerie, am I right?
Please observe this sandwich I recently consumed. Arepa stuffed with shredded chicken, black beans, plantains, and cheese. Little Venezuelan place in Allentown, PA. The owner spoke little English. I speak little Spanish. I just asked for what she likes. OMG. Amazing.
I’m not sure a World Cup semifinal loss has ever been more directly on the manager.
More from my recent wildflower sightings. The first one is cool AF. They were all pretty cool TBH.
I have taken up a recent interest in identifying wildflowers. These pretty little pink ones are called ‘bee balm’. I was able to deduce that by reading the little plastic sign that said ‘bee balm’.
It’s nice to see the Dungeons & Dragons community finally getting the respect it deserves.
Telling the truth about someone isn’t “speaking ill of them.” Refusing to tell the truth about them is lying on their behalf. This isn’t complicated.
So, I’m off walking in this totally zen Celtic sanctuary in the woods and come upon this little stone building. Inside was a plaque explaining that it was modeled off of a fourteenth century ‘scriptorium’ in the Scottish Highlands. 1/2
In the past week, I have randomly found myself talking to: 1) someone who just lost their housing; 2) an elderly woman barely eking by; and 3) a person struggling without mental healthcare. Unfortunately, I’m fresh out of empathy for politicians who used their power to make others’ lives worse.
seeing some “it’s impolite to speak ill of the dead” discourse so hey here’s a way to avoid that: don’t be a dick while you’re alive
Lindsey Graham has died after a brief illness His death leaves a huge void for Trump in particular since he has been lodged up Trump’s ass for years.
Weekly tradition to end a holiday weekend. Tell me something good. What good thing happened in your life this week? Found your sparkle or took in some fireworks, both work. Just something good.
