AOC introduced a bill that would put the brakes on new data centers until Congress can study the environmental, economic and social impact of AI. This should have happened from the very onset of these death traps. The ones that are already operating should be forced to go through the same scrutiny.
I voted for Kamala. I was excited to vote for her until I heard her speak at the convention and talk about Israel and the might of the US military. Despite my misgivings, I still voted for her because I understood the damage that Donald Trump would cause. But now, fellow Dems we have an opportunity

Today Zohran is announcing that the New York City-owned grocery stores his administration is piloting will discount staple items 30%. Core groceries like produce, meat, seafood, pasta, bread, yogurt, butter, nuts, rice and beans will all receive this price cut.
Amazing to watch the same Democratic party leaders who lost the White House, Senate and the House tell us that they know best in this year's Democratic primary. It's clear the voters want real change--not the status quo. Dem leaders need to listen to the Democratic base--or step aside.
This it’s time for the Dems to stop sending strongly, worded letters and making phone calls and actually take action.

I saw whale spouts driving home today. There was a pod really close to the harbor. You could see the spouts from highway 1 in Moss Landing. Every time I see those whale spouts it feels magical.

My kid is at summer school today. They offer PE over the summer so you don’t have to take it during the school year and have an extra elective. Get an email from the school. They’re on lockdown they received a threat. I am currently talking my anxious child down. We can’t normalize this.
