As usual, David doesn't pull any punches and, as usual, I can't find any flaws with his position. I have to say, I have watched less MotoGP racing this year than I have in any year this century and this opinion piece goes a long way toward explaining my loss of appetite.

The Dakar Rally made the decision MotoGP so far has lacked the will to make. MotoGP is still planning to go to Qatar around the time Trump may resume strikes on Iran, but Dakar will not go to Saudi Arabia in January 2027. Too bad the change isn't permanent. #motosky www.dakar.com/en/news/2027...

As usual, I agree with David entirely on this one. MotoGP only goes to Qatar for money. Not for fans, no other reason. It may not be a deal with the devil, but it's a deal with unsavory characters (and I've been to Losail). With missiles being lobbed about, it's only more problematic. Read his take.
