I've started working on a rework of the games system. This prepares for a fully fledged leaderboards feature, with verification, filters, customization etc. Will take a while but looking forward to sharing it with you all!

I created the ultimate pace pal tool When going to the /live page, every run now has a big green button on the top right called "Commentary". This opens a panel with all info about the run you're watching that you need. Small thread below to explain all the things it does :)

Lately I've been noticing that the runs on the frontpage are established runners who are on good pace. Today, this changes. From now on, the live page will only include players with less than 10 viewers. Also, if you are more than 10 seconds ahead of PB, you are excluded.

The LiveSplit component has been updated. - You can now test if your key is working - Added some handy links, info and tooltips - You can disable uploading every reset. If disabled, it will upload on closing LiveSplit. - Small notification when stats sync (can turn this off) Hope you like it! 🐇

I have added a tool called the Runs Explorer. It allows you to find any finished runs on the site. You can filter by game, category, user, date, final time (RTA and IGT), or to only show PB's For example: here are all 35 runs in TCS Any% with a time of under 2:20! Link below👇

After launching the new front page, the rest of the site is now touched up and converted to the new house style! Gold, green and red, just like your runs. Check out the new live page, for example:

BIG things are going to be happening this year

Amazing news! @cryze92.bsky.social, who is a big part of the team over at LiveSplit, has built integration to therun from LiveSplit One. That means you can now get live stats and therun integrations right from your browser. CryZe created the video below. Everyone say thanks to CryZe!!!

Here's some cool stats about the current state of the data on the site: Mario 64 is about to hit 5 million attempts processed by therun. At the same time, Mario Odyssey is getting very close to 1 million attempts.

Racers, I made some changes to ratings: 1) Your first few races in a category, you will gain/lose more rating than before. This effect diminishes after doing more races. 2) When you finish close to someone, you will lose less rating than before. Thanks for racing, hope you like these changes!

I've added some sort and filter options on the live page. You can now filter if someone is streaming, currently on a run, and currently on PB pace. You can sort by things like run length, name, game, or how far a runner is ahead of their PB. Have fun watching!

Race moderators and creators can now set the time for other users in the races. Makes it easier to manage races!

Hi friends, I have resumed working on the website. It is now possible to disqualify a player from the race if they are AFK or if they submitted an incorrect time. This can be done by the creator of the race, or by race admins. Thanks!
