This is kinda unrelated except for being about the cards depicted, but man, I LOVE what Lorehold has done for Dwarves in Magic. After so many years of them not really being A THING, they very much are now and have a deep well of synergies and that's just amazing.

Cole, Johnny Mardu Cubin'@thebloodricguy.bsky.social · 2d ago

#bloodricposting, Secrets of Strixhaven swap I'm always on the lookout for a card that has keywords and some other functionality, so I've been fiddling with Practiced Scrollsmith for a bit. Not a bad ETB trigger and body. I'm gonna swap it out for Lorehold Archivist for a bit, see how it plays

Don't worry, y'all, this is obviously a prop. Wanda got rid of these in every universe, remember?

@maro254.bsky.social · 2d ago

The panel went well. I even got a book to read. #WotCStaff

One of the first... Four? times I've played Thranduil, Sindarin Liege and I almost just resolved a Through the Forest Gate to get 9 lands with my Commander, Marwyn, the Nurturer AND Scute Swarm on the battlefield. Someone got rid of the Swarm, as they should, but DAMN, that was cool!

Midnight Suns is going to be my entire identity for this set, isn't it. God dammit.

Sound on for BIIIG kitty purrs 💜

Still looking to secure a fourth!

Anyone wanna play a game or two of Commander Friday night? Start time is usually 8:30 pm est. I’m down one player!

#Top4RandomCommander Day 17! Ignis Scientia is one of the Final Fantasy commanders I really want to eventually make and play! It’s becoming more and more apparent that I really like food tokens. I really like Campsite Cuisine! That’s a really cool card for foods!

Goood Mooorning, Friends! I am out of work today due to Dani’s car having a flat tire and her needing to be at a training at her company’s HQ, so she’s using my car. How we doing this Monday? Who’s got plans this week or upcoming weekend?

I feel personally attacked right now.

Oh absolutely. I always even check behind me to see if someone is maybe a few paces back and if so, I wait with the door. There is literally nothing so important that we can’t spare a few seconds or minutes for one another.

Joseph H. Johnson, Jr.@blackneto.bsky.social · last wk.

Can we go back to holding the door for each other instead of letting it slam in the face of the person behind? Matter of fact I challenge anyone reading this to go out of their way to do something nice for someone they don’t know. Spread love.

Hey @timberborn.bsky.social … Hello from NJ? This guy must be unemployed, NO HAT!

This and “kingdom” (I think it’s called? King, Guard, Traitor and two Assassins, each with a goal compared to the other roles) are some of my favorite ways to play 4+ player Magic. If you want 6-person games, Emperor is good.

Chris Mooney@chriskmooney.bsky.social · last wk.

How many of you have played a five player magic game with the “Star” rules. It’s one of my favorites and I always thought it was pretty well known, but I’m realizing that it’s not actually very well documented online and maybe it’s just a holdover from my time as a kid.

Been awhile since I promoted my content. BUT! Did you know your favorite military Magic content creator has a YouTube channel? I just saw I’m at 400 subs and would like to get to 500! Care to check it out? youtube.com/@thesethcros... #MagicTheGathering #ContentCreator #MTG #EDH

Well. Won with coalition victory today, that's a first time achievement for me haha!

#Top4RandomCommander Day 16! Atla Palani, Nest Tender is pretty much exactly what you’d expect: extra eggs so you can crack ‘em open! What are your favorite Yolks for Atla? Are you a Spaghetti Monster Connoisseur? Or are you hatching big Dragons or Dinosaurs?

Just like the Origins flip walkers, I always love a way to put a Planeswalker in the command zone :P

i just really like this card. they really snapped with this sorin design

This has been a rough pill to swallow as I’ve gotten older and, hopefully, a little wiser. There is no automatic trust, even if **I** know I mean no harm. That knowledge to others has to be earned.

Joseph H. Johnson, Jr.@blackneto.bsky.social · last wk.

Saw this on threads and wanted to share here too. Let’s do our part.

I never shave when I’m on leave 🧔‍♂️

I’ve been on leave all of last week and this week, today being my last day. And it’s been okay. I’ve played a lot of video games. So how yall been?

Oh my God, just seeing the news that Pac has passed away. Only 40 years old, this is so damn sad. I hope his friends and family are taking time and processing this. What a loss for the entire world. nypost.com/2026/09/28/s...

Wrestling world heartbroken over AEW star Pac’s death at 40: ‘Such a hero’

The wrestling world is mourning the loss of star Benjamin Satterly, known as Pac, who died this weekend at the age of 40.

#Top4RandomCommander Day ... 14? 15? I forget! The Master, Gallifrey's End is my favorite kind of Rakdos deck: one that plays with sacrifice and politics! I'm not super smart on Dr. Who stuff, did The Master make Daleks or was that someone else?

#Top4RandomCommander Day 14! Inga Rune-Eyes is interesting because it's a sacrifice-style deck in mono-blue. You don't have aristocrat pay-offs, so you're more of a value engine. You also don't have access to black's reanimation, but maybe there's artifact stuff? I LOVE a good Reef Worm deck!

First day of burning up my use/lose leave and yup, woke up to a message from work.

#Top4RandomCommander Day 13! Polukranos, Unchained is one of those Golgari commanders I’ve seen but never had the time and energy to build. This top 4 DID make me realize just how many cards say “double the counters” or “twice that many counters” and holy smokes it’s a lot!

#Top4RandomCommander Day 12! Magus Lucea Kane is “Temur X Stuff” that basically has the dreaded “when something happens, double it” but in a more interesting way! I’ll say, these are the 4 highest synergy cards and the top cards weren’t that bad! I love so many of the UB designs!

I really like this idea.

𝙈𝙮𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨𝘼𝙧𝙚𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙠 🔜 MC Atlanta@myhandsareblank.bsky.social · 3w ago

I realized today that Karn can technically be cast for 4WUB and since he and I have been hanging out in Modern for so many years I think it only makes sense for my sleeveless artifact deck to be helmed by him until Sydri gets new art

My oldest son is 15 years old and attending his first esports tournament at a nearby college! He’s very excited, playing on his High School’s Super Smash Bros. team! Send some luck for him! 💜

The school 3D printed their own trophy for it! And it’ll be on YT, live streamed! How cool! This was not a thing when I was a kid!!!
