We're owed a fee for a gig we did several months ago, despite several follow up emails; it's only £100, but for a completely self-funded band, that can go a long way. Does anyone have any experience of chasing stuff through other means e.g. small claims? Or is that a massive pain in the arse?

I'm currently listening to a once a year shortwave broadcast, to celebrate the midyear solstice, in which friends and family send messages to the 44 people based out in the Antarctic science bases. Amazing. To top it off, Cerys Matthews hosts it. Magic.

3/5 of the 'builders went to Kraftwerk last night, so expect our next album to be an electro concept album about the electrification of the Mersey Rail Northern Line to Southport.

I've wanted to read this for some time, then I heard the @backlisted.bsky.social episode all about it and took the plunge. I finished it yesterday and can't stop thinking about it. Anyone want to have a good old cry with me about it?

This obscure album - a collection of Christian duets by Beverly Oliver and a ventriloquist’s dummy named Erick - is a staggering £160 on Discogs. Oliver is one of the most controversial and colourful “witnesses” to the JFK assassination. She’s just one of the “Other Stories” in my new book.

We're heading back to Chester to play at one of our favourite haunts again.. Telford's Warehouse on May 8th..

There was a Spring Nature Fair in Rimrose Valley today, and as if it couldn't be any more Shipbuilderesque, a bloke struck up a conversation with me about the Spanish Civil War. Absolutely sensational stuff. Happy Sunday all.
