New job started this week. Its tough but should give me plenty of room to keep doing my art stuff outside of it. Now we ease into the long road, working a bit and refining my craft until it can become my main job 👏 The journey continues.
Ive watched the Lonesome Dove miniseries over a dozen times at this point. It being one of the things I like to make a yearly revisit to. This go around I decided to finally tackle the book and hot damn. It's incredible and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to do it. Makes me a little homesick

Man oh man, finally finished an episode after writing myself into a deep corner 👏
Nothing refills my cup like talking to artists and looking at their cool stuff. Yesterday was the West Seattle art walk and it was a magical time
Ever since the Speak hup meme, I cant get the idea of a UK based John Stewart out of my head. Should've let him keep his natural accent, it's a cool shake hup
Bold of Fender to make a long commercial featuring 1 second of guitar playing.
Signed up two more locations for my how to draw series 👏 seattle wants to draw
Learning to draw samurai while eating onigiri. Feel like I'm unlocking my final form
Man, I don't think Batman ever really recovered as a concept once his rogues became ultra murderers. Joker over here mass killing, abducting Alfred and ALL the batfam, meanwhile batman is getting tricked left and right. At this point call in the League and hang it up dawg, youre a liability.
Its a shame that anime games are stuck on being arena fighters. Id love to see @supergiantgames.bsky.social make a Kill La Kill game. A gameplay loop like Hades would be so perfect for it.

120 pages of fundamentals down in 2.5 weeks! Quickest I've filled up a sketchbook so far. Now the tricky part, not falling out of practice habits again 👀
Hades 2 may just about be the greatest sequel ever made. @supergiantgames.bsky.social absolutely knocked it so far out of the park its in orbit to join the gods themselves 👏 👏 Think I need to do something artful about it, my inspo is off the charts

Partnering with my local library to do another series of how to draw classes 👏 turnout has been great, everybody wants to draw!
Going on an odyssey this weekend. Hiking the two hours to seattle to do a double feature of Spider-man and the Odyssey then hiking back. An hour for every year Odysseus was gone 👏

We need a catchy double feature name like Oppenheimer and Barbie did but for Spider-man and the Odyssey. I suggest 'brand new odyssey'
Im starting to notice, all the faces I draw from imagination are sad. I hope that doesn't mean anything
This page highlights the frustration I have with comics. The issues burn through interesting set ups to get to the next beat so the episode can wrap-up. Shang chi and lady deathstrike having a kung fu fight over an evil katana while trapped in a laser field should last more than a single page.
Friday sketchin, if I finish 3 more pages I get some soju. If i do 13 more I get a lot of soju
Been playing Metaphor Refantazio, mainly because the name is so cool. I love the persona series and this captures the heart of that so well. The theme of, what if you got powers for being a cool dude that helps their buds, is always a good time 👏
