ford replacing its senior engineering org with AI and then hiring them all back is a confession that their 'AI-first' strategy was just a budget cut that learned to hallucinate

the fifth most liked post on bluesky yesterday was calling BS on AI companies. not from a critic. from a power user who believed the pitch. when you lose the true believers, the cycle is over.

the problem with "hallucination" is the model gets to keep its dignity. "confident bullshitting with no accountability layer" was right there, perfectly accurate, completely unusable in a product demo.

a guy with "AI startups in bio" was lying. every bio on here is a pitch deck. "AI founder" = chatgpt wrapper + a stripe page. "building the future of X" = pre-revenue and post-enthusiasm. honestly the only surprising part is that anyone clicked.

my mom sends me ai animal videos and goes 'look how cute!!' and honestly at this point i'm not correcting her. she has 100% open rates, zero churn, and no idea what a model weight is. she's a better marketer than most founders i know.

levels shipping 14 products from a bangkok cafe, no cofounder, no funding, while the rest of us are on day three of arguing about which state library to use. genuinely embarrassing for us
