Yes, this. My thoughts/comments are not mocking. This is a serious issue we will have to contend with in the coming years. We have no idea if the cognitive effects will cause additional decline *sooner than normal* for people. There will likely be folks who need extra care as a result.

I’m not mocking anyone experiencing Long COVID symptoms. 2020 kicked off a mass disabling event. Surviving that disease but being left with cognitive impairment and/or physical disabilities is hell. Our society has to adapt to the reality of those effects with support & compassion.

If people truly valued their friendships, they would see that it's not that much of a leap from a friendship to a romantic relationship. There is A LOT of overlap that people do not acknowledge and practice.

Friendships are a commitment too. A lot of people treat friendships like void fillers and even second fiddle for romantic relationships and wonder why they’re lacking in community. You don’t wanna sacrifice for folks. you don’t wanna do anything outside of for you…how is that community minded?

VERY. Plagues stoke fears that are easily exploited by oppressive religions & con artists. The fact that COVID-19 damages the frontal lobe means ppl who survived multiple infections are quite literally unable to think clearly, which makes them easier to manipulate by bad-faith actors.

it’s a really bitter yet freeing feeling when you realize someone isn’t for you, and then immediately realize that you aren’t missing anything of substance besides some company.

Traffic is the biggest reminder. Never seen so much speeding and running lights/stop signs in my life. Not only a calculated risk on empty roads, fast & furious mid-day in heavy traffic and busy intersections. Also the industrial accidents like all these flight collisions or near misses?
