Right-wing thought springs exclusively from hostile, incoherent, and jumpy suspicions; that is to say, it is nonsense, and engaging with it in good faith is a self-annihilating proposition. Don't do it, and jettison allies who do.
At this late hour, our leaders are still not telling us the story of how Republicans are violently carrying on America’s segregationist, apartheid era traditions.
This also applies to “why isn’t the media focused on Republican Party fascism?” The big media owners and decision makers are, at the very least, more supportive of the white supremacist fascist project than the democratic one, and many have antipathy toward Black people and Black success.

This is galvanizing as a promise, necessary as a moral demand, and would be visually and emotionally arresting in its execution.

As much as material benefits are tied to the good of the individual, righteous and generous support for immigration, trans rights and reparations must be tied to the good of the nation. It’s the only way out of revisiting fascism in perpetuity.
"Looking forward" should be taken as "we're going to let them get away with it" and it should burn you up inside.

“Of course Trump should be impeached, and then in jail.” Even if Dem leaders don’t think this is possible, they must project that the answer is legally and morally correct.
I don't accept that it's harder to build than to destroy, so I demand that Democrats use their pending power to radically transform America for the good as much as Republicans have for the bad.
The more immigration becomes about control, and the less about our humanity and generosity, the more fascist our foundations become.

Without separating police from their power - economic, political and physical - there is no end to America as a country in crisis. The ask to defund the police was and is a *profoundly* important one. We must demand that our leaders engage with it in good faith.
There will be no reduction in abusive policing thanks to surveillance because abusing surveillance is part of policing.

Our leaders and our media have truly failed us here. There’s no reason that the anti-vax movement should have gained any sort of traction whatsoever, beyond establishment equivocations and miscalculations over how to sell the balancing of good science, social responsibility, and individual rights.
