For those that care here is my working project notepad.

My grandfather despite his age did not impart wisdom to any family members that I know of. What I do remember is that he kept a small spiral notepad on his person for notes wherever he went.

Been working on a little thing for my nephew who is turning one. It’s a medallion that I’m carving where one side has a monogram and the other side has the Bruins logo. It’ll be painted but this is progress.

I’ve been away from social media for several months only really interacting sporadically as things pop up that I want to comment on. If you are wondering if I’m alive, fear not, I’m still here! I’m just taking a more hands off approach to social media as things ramp up for the holiday season.

It took two months, but I finished all 8 Dungeon Crawler Carl books. Am i satisfied, no. But i can say that i am now upset that book isn’t far enough along to read completely yet. A few years ago I found my old kitchen table cleric deck from the early days of mtg (1999-2000). Decided that I needed a sleeveless EDH deck and used my cleric deck as the seed. Each card with rare exception is no more than $5 so that if something happens I can replace cards. Is it good, no, but fun

The local walnut place near me, had a by weight section of turning blanks in walnut for the chalice project. It was so cheap in fact that I got almost 50% off compared to online choices I was looking at. I’m glad I waited till now to purchase.

There is always room to learn new things, two years ago I wasn’t carving wood for a carousel, and tomorrow I’ll be learning black smithing. The cost involved with the job/hobby isn’t exactly cheap and I don’t have a place for a furnace and anvil, it’ll be fun. Wish me luck.

Today is reminder to do or start that think in mtg you’ve wanted to for ages. A few years ago I built a sleeveless commander deck to play like when I started back in ‘98. Excluding the commander the deck doesn’t have any cards in it that cost me more than $5 if worst should happen 1/2

I’m not sure I like mine either. Some cohesion but feels like the marigold flash needs some work.

Got my replacement lens that is a duplicate of the one I tried to clean and messed up. The listing said I would get a lens cased with the lens. Turns out they either forgot or lied to me about the lens case. I’m getting tired of people lying to me about what I’m to receive from a listing.

I will wish it again as people start showing up to command fest Tacoma. Be safe. While we PNW people can have great hospitality, please be aware of your belongings and keep stock while you move around the con. Be safe, have fun, play mtg.

decided to try and clean the glass from the inside by disassembling it... i would consider myself reasonably cautious, i cleaned everything but fucked up the assembly... lost a $13 lens trying to fix something i thought would be easy.

I’ve never felt so taken care of and so lied to at the same time. Everything looked great from the listing, and the box opening was very nice but the haze, yes that is haze has almost covered the entire inside of the lens…
