Wild how often when something reads slow or wrong or clunky the copyediting answer is “just cut it.” Usually the intention stays clear and the writing just gets sharper. Maybe I’m just an over-writer. Brevity is the soul of wit and all that, but idk actually also clarity is the soul of wit, too.

I am on chapter 28 (TWENTY-EIGHT!!!) of line-editing this book. I am so dang close, I really do just need like one more week of locking in and then I’ll have done it and can start transferring all the edits to the doc. Then it’s hardback city. It’s audio drama city. The train will be MOVING okay!!
