Severe bleeding post-birth (post partum haemorrhage - or PPH) is a leading cause of maternal death, but emergency kits to manage it aren’t standardised. Our study found many differences across kits in NHS maternity units. Would standardisation help? Probably – but a rigid approach may not work. 1/2
