It’s crazy that after the Snowden disclosures, the US changed nothing. Look into the 'Third-Party Doctrine': if you voluntarily give data to a third party like your provider, you have no 'reasonable expectation of privacy' left - meaning authorities can legally access anything they want. Insane!
