I know precisely the moment in Nathan Knapp’s Daybook that I became absolutely fascinated, & it was on p 23 when a woman’s (not the character’s new wife’s) “majestic” breasts are described. I know I know..but it really was a “what on earth is going on here?!” moment, & is vital to what follows. 5*!
