I like public transit and railways
Why is the Seoul Metro station playing the Rocky theme?
From where I'm standing in Beijing South station, I can see three different KFCs and Starbucks, along with the typical other assortment of fast food
The only thing worse than a slip lane is not having a slip lane where one is clearly warranted by traffic volumes, driver behaviour, and signal design
On the train to Qingdao. A 6+ hour journey from Shanghai on this higher-speed 200km/h train built by Bombardier in 2007.
Continuing my Shanghai posting, the lack of connection between line 10 and lines 9 and 4 around Yuyuan Garden, Xiaonanmen, and Nanpu Bridge is a major gap in the network that adds transfers to a lot of trips around the city center, at least as far as my travels the last few days have shown

Chinese Tim's does not have doughnuts or Timbits. Insane.
Here's a massive girder which blocked us for a couple minutes on our way out of the factory
The ZPMC crane factory is absolutely massive. This view is from a 29 story hotel tower for the clients. The apartment buildings house 15000 workers and their families. This company has a 70% market share for port cranes.

Eurostar is giving me the opportunity to make a POOR BID
For my first ever bluesky post, I'm complaining about the trams in Amsterdam. They suffer from being slow, not frequent enough, and having too many stops, but their biggest flaw is with payment.
