My friends, if you are not already inundated with people on one side of the political spectrum saying things about the 14th Amendment like "that's not what they meant when they wrote it so SCOTUS is wrong," the entire debate about what the first section means is available, starting on page 2890 of…

Re-reading WATCHMEN, and it's so odd to stumble across Robert Deschaines in the second half. The world is set up so that Dr. Manhattan is the only person with real-live superpowers and it's extraordinary and singular…except this psychic whose head was stolen. I'm sure that won't come back later.

Gonna aside June and July to read comics, and I have been thinking about how much I think about some creators. I have historically held Mark Millar to be a one-trick pony, but then saw a series called BIG GAME, which tied all his various series together, which is something I've been thinking about.

I find it hypocritical to give advice, or even thoughts, on writing when I am not actually writing something, myself, so I'm faced with a choice: 1 - write something 2 - shut the fuck up This is hard. SO. Hard.

Well, the first quarter of the year is over, and my reading list sits at 22 books. Almost half of them were pretty slim (Parker and Spenser novels) but this is a definite improvement over last year's 7 books at this time. This is encouraging.

"Show, don't tell," is the show, don't tell of critique and advice if it's not accompanied by an example. Listen here. If you feel the need to tell somebody they need to show instead of telling, then they already don't know what you mean, and just telling them that is FUCKING USELESS.

See, shit like this pisses me off. How old were you in 1998 when the bombs were being dropped by Clinton? How old were you EVERY YEAR of BOTH Obama's terms when he dropping bombs in the Middle East?

When I started writing NECROBREW, I had the final scene in mind within minutes of starting the first chapter. When I finished figuring out how to start the next book, SPIDERWEB, I knew how it was going to end. All that's left is the 100k in the middle, lol.
