I'm pretty sick over the death of Jason Arday. From Charles Henry Rowell's 2004 interview with Fred Moten: "'Words don't go there,' as Charles Lloyd is reported to have said when he was ask to comment on one of his musical compositions." Words can't go there. Won't.

In the wake of Arday's death, Nathan Cofnas (who led the X mob against him) states his motivation. Beyond whistleblowing, he states that after a 'revolution' removes professors like Arday, it will open opportunities for him to become 'head of the department of eugenics and race science at Harvard'.

The colloquium, too, was just a beginning for the never-ending, always rewarding work of returning to your incisive, field-shaping first text! We are beyond moved that the text’s treatment, to evoke Jared in another forthcoming work, gave back to you some of what it has given us.
