I present 11/20 of the second wave (part 2) of Care Bear characters. This bear is part of a trio that only appeared once in a movie and then was practically never seen again, with a few snippets here and there; however, they made their voice loud and clear to make their mark (pun intended). I give to you the loudmouth himself, too-loud bear!

After I finished the line work and the rest of the designs, I was a bit stumped on what his actual fur color was. Because in the movie The Big Wish he was bright red, but apparently in the books he was more of a darker red. That's when I went to the wiki to get like a definitive answer, and it turns out that the color was coral red, so coral red it was. Although the excessive red makes it look like he has a sunburn all over, and I had to be creative on how many shades of red to go with, luckily DA released a color palette for Pride month, and it had the perfect shade of red and yellow, and I used those for the heart butt and his tummy badge colors, so technically this can be a Pride piece if you look at it that way. Speaking of his tummy badge, since it was a classic bullhorn, I decided to make it into a modern handheld megaphone and, again, with the pride color palette, keeping it the same yellow and red. After I was finished with the design of it, it kind of reminded me of wrestling manager legend Jimmy Hart and his megaphone with Hulk Hogan's colors. But I really wanted to emphasize him being a loud guy, so I went with a mid-jump pose like I did with Cheer, only this time I added motion lines to give it more of a cartoony yet comical feel and get the point across that he's shouting. His hairstyle is just a simple puff to a slight fro.

I present 12/20 of the second wave (part 2) of Care Bear characters. Almost never seen without her face buried in her trusty hand mirror, this pink prima donna is a queen in her own mind and wants everyone to know it. Vanity, thy name is Me Bear!

When creating such a vain character, you just have to get to the mindset, and I'm sure we all know that one person who acts like this. It wasn't too hard to come up with an idea for her: just her looking at a mirror of herself and the change up for her tummy badge. I figured like a hoity-toity smirk or very high opinion of themselves for the face of the mirror. Since she thinks highly of herself like a queen, I figured I'd put a small crown on her tummy badge mirror. Her little puff of hair on front is 100% taken from Minnie Mouse as seen in the Three Musketeers movie with a white highlight

I present 13/20 of the second wave (part 2) of Care Bear characters. You can find them in some mud pit that not only getting dirty but just straight up, well, messy. He suffers from severe allergies and is prone to intense sneezing fits. Because of this and his clumsy nature, he unwittingly creates a massive mess everywhere he goes. A walking whirlwind Disaster. I give to you Messy Bear!

To put it plain and simple, I just envisioned a dirtbag Pig-pen personality. You can either find him in the kitchen cooking something and making a big mess or just doing something normal and causing a mess; you know it's from him. For his design with the word "Slezse" on my mind, I gave his expression a shit-eating grin. His hair is actually a rejected hairstyle I had for Oopsie, and I figured I'd repurposed it for him. I really wanted to dirty him up and placed many "mud-dirt" blotches over him and a bit on his tummy badge, like he had just come out of a mud bath. I once again did a shrugging pose to convey him saying, "What can I say? I love being messy and dirty." His tummy badge is a rework of the official one, with the tornado's face being more of an excitement and a punk's wild side while keeping it cute.

Make no mistake, he loves being dirty, but there are times when he has to be clean and smell like either a daisy or a pine tree, either to go on a mission or when his dirtiness just gets too much.

I present 14/20 of the second wave (part 2) of Care Bear characters. She's always looking on the humorous side of life, Her laughter is infectious; she stays giddy most of the time, hoping that her attitude will rub off on others. I give to you, Laugh-a-Lot Bear!

Before doing her design in my vision, I wanted to be inspired, so I started listening to audio of tunes laughing or giggling, and the one that I settled on was from the '80s TV series Popples, more specifically "Party Popple." listening to her Audio I just envisioned that voice and laughter coming out of Laugh a Lot. I pictured it in my head, and that is what was produced, and literally it started off with the hairstyle. I figured something bubbly, like bubbles (wink wink), and I wanted to do one with pigtails. I figured, well, she would be the perfect candidate, although I'm not really keen on wanting to give them longer hair because it looks weird. I went for a giggle pose, but it's just seconds before busting a gut, you know. For her tummy badge, looking at the official one, it looked more like a "blep" and didn't read "laughter" to me, so I changed the stars' expression to an actual laughing star. Lastly, went with a little thicker body to give more variety and shapes among the bears.

In honor of this year being the 250th anniversary of our independence, what better way to do so than give this bear its spotlight? This very specifically had many design changes over the years and name changes, so I took the recent incarnation of ACB and made a more modern take. There are conflicting reports over if this bear is male or female; they are going to be an ambiguous gender, just like any other, if so chosen. Their hair I've given them is a quaffed, spiked style and gives it a red, white, and blue look. I wanted to try giving the body a few gradient spots, especially over the hands and feet, to give it a little more uniqueness. That's for their tummy badge being a patriotic shooting star. I stepped it up and made it 20% cooler (wink wink) and specifically put the star closer to their heart. For the pose, I knew for a fact it had to be a salute like a traditional army soldier, as they're seen here saluting to you and to our nation and getting to see it for its big 250th anniversary.

I present 5/20 of the second wave of Care Bear characters. She sings, she acts, and she plays every instrument you can imagine! I present to you, Harmony Bear!

When I was creating her, I wanted to get inspired, so I started listening to Whitney Houston songs and just imagining Harmony hitting those notes the same way Whitney did it. In design choice, I wanted to be more creative with her, and I went with small, cute, afro-like curly-cue hair. I figured for her pose since she's great at singing, a microphone would be most appropriate for her. Now, the biggest design in my version was her tummy badge. Like Funshine's, I went with a classic pie-eye style for the flower portion, but I wanted to make it a singing rainbow flower to reflect her singing abilities, but I figured I would take a step further and do a deep cut reference, and I'll explain it. In 1983, she made her debut for the UK and Australia exclusively, and her tummy badge was a rainbow-colored triple music note. I figured for a little call back in tribute to that I'd have her flower with its singing with music notes, and the color scheme of the music notes are exactly the same colors that were from her original tummy badge. Just trying to be original while also paying tribute, and I figured the past meets the present with her symbol, which would be good for those that remember.

When I was creating him, I figured I'd go with the bare minimum for what I have planned for him. The standard color is red-orange, after all. For his hair design, he'll be one of the very few bears in my designs to have a gradient fade; it's to stand out a little more from the red-orange fur. I'll be straightforward with all of you. Of all of his incarnations, I never liked how his tummy badge looked; it just looked too busy, so I thought I would just simplify it to something simple but still get its meaning across. Keep with the red Aztec-style spiral sun but have the spiral end with a heart in the middle, and I love how it came out. Less is more, I say.

Before I begin, I just want to say that I don't appreciate some users pestering me over which character to draw next. I'm doing this for me and for characters I remember most. With that being said, onto my design choices. I like to say that I do like their modern look of being magenta, but growing up, I remember them being pastel orange. The hairstyle is taken from my own design of Friend Bear's hairstyle, but instead of it being downwards, it's now upwards, keeping the iconic friendship between these two still connected in a way. For her tummy badge, I was a little stumped. Yes, I know it's just a simple heart-shaped padlock, but how do you make it better than it was? And unfortunately, I just stick to what works. I kept the padlock the same color, magenta. I remove the yellow off of the latch of the lock to a metal and a couple of highlights here and there, and that's all I could do, really. Finally, for the pose, what better way than a shushing pose that we all know and love? Overall I think it turned out pretty well from what I could do with them.
