One of my favorite things about spring is getting to meet the new toads, like this guy. I’ve loved holding frogs and toads since I was a kid and never got warts from them. Because it's a myth! They cannot give you warts. It’s believed that the myth started because a toad’s skin can be bumpy. #nature

April celebrates picture books! The first on this stack, If You Were A Writer, was given to me by Mom when I was a kid. Mom knew my dream was to be a writer. Having books like this was important to nurture that dream. When we become early readers, it’s a gateway to literature throughout our lives!
