Today was the first time I had even seen a cat since my own passed on in March. And this boy decided to give me head bumps and rubbed his little cheek on me and I think a little corner healed in my heart this morning.
And just like that, my author's copy arrived in the mail today. It's me! It's my name! 🥰
Seeing your name on a website or in a book hits differently. I didn't think it would but WTF it does. I was published in print as a journalist several times before. No big deal. But with my fiction writing, that makes me more proud than anything else.
Since March, I get contacted by an almost 70 year old man 3-6 times a day in my message requests. Never talked to that person before. I know blocking will lead to fake accounts. Keeping him in the requests, contains the problem at least. Most messages are very parasocial-romantic.

It will live update as you are writing. 1.0 of "CountWordula" (yes that was my idea) soon.

I never "air dryed" my hair cause it looked too chaotic. Turns out I actually have wavy hair... It will lay flat on day two yes, probably because of my length. But that it needed all these years for me to realize.
