1st ‘door’ of the advent calendar! The image is from episode 1 of season 1, where Stede is sitting atop the thing that hauls up the anchor, reading to the nearly-sleeping crew. In the picture is Stede, Frenchie, Roach, Swede, Lucius, Wee John, and Pete. They’re all wearing Santa hats – however, Pete’s hat is different from the rest of them. Pete is wearing a midnight blue Santa hat with little white dots on it (indicating ‘snow’) – this hat is a strange Danish tradition (for those who choose to celebrate it … a LOT (maybe even most?) don’t anymore) that pertains to the time of year, when the Danish beer brand ‘Tuborg’ releases their yearly Christmas brew.
