SPPD's intentions aside, I want a mayor who has enough awareness to not place themselves in situations that can be weaponized by an adversarial department. Rule number one is if you're the mayor, act like the fucking mayor. Maybe don't go to the cop gym and reenact a scene from Porky's.

Strib’s Rochelle Olson gives a full-throated defense of Kaohly Her, based on Olson’s suspicion of the St. Paul PD’s motivations. There’s some there there, but I wouldn’t term the Her allegations a “whisper campaign,” since a lot of the evidence is out in the open. www.startribune.com/st-paul-mayo...

Thanks to Naomi for collecting the info in one place. I'm convinced that Her has to resign or be forced out through a recall. It's not just the recent allegations (which get worse by the day) but a pattern of incompetence over just seven months since she's been mayor.

If there's been an article anywhere that rounded up all the allegations (and miscellaneous other stuff) about Mayor Her, I'm not finding it, so I'm going to make a thread.

It is more important than ever that you, yes YOU, write. Write about imporant things, silly things, normal things, write for yourself, write for the public, write for your friends or colleagues, write a journal, a blog, a note, a letter. Just exercise that muscle.
