The Guardians are expected to promote Angel Genao from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday, according to multiple sources. Genao is ranked No. 39 on MLB Pipeline's Top 100 Prospects list.

Another 40-man move: The Guardians transferred Shawn Armstrong (on the IL with a left calf strain) to the 60-day to make space for Nathaniel Lowe.

Chase DeLauter was named the AL Rookie of the Month for July. Over 24 games, he slashed .298/.368/.489 with six doubles, four homers and 14 RBIs, with 11 walks compared to 17 strikeouts.
