Let us make a pact to share enough details of what makes us vibe with our hobbies and interests that loved ones can pick out gifts better than ‘socks and ties depicting the thing’ Assuming of course that we don’t like socks depicting the thing

I saw that Where Is My Husband was in my music queue, and managed to skip it before the song got lodged in my brain for weeks (again). I love the track but am proud for now to let it fly rather than nest.

To the folks worried that the previewed rulebreaker cards will create ‘soup’ decks… Yes they will, but as far as I can see they will be specifically flavoured soups, rather than just every good ingredient in the cupboard blended together. I like soups like this.

I don’t have a nickname to the best of my knowledge, but various of my friends have their own riffs on my name that they use most often. You know who you are. Sir Tim Timmy Tim Tim Willubs Mr Willoughby The Tim Willoughby Timothy Willoughby (always full name)

Having a blast designing a really flavour driven Commander deck, with all sorts of slightly suboptimal choices, because vibes. I suspect it will do ok at tables where everyone else is doing slightly more powerful things by being kind of unpredictable.

I have come to realise that I build Commander decks like I’m playing Pointless. If I can show folks my Commander and then be playing 20+ cards that none of the table would have guessed I was playing, I’m pretty stoked.

Ok, my existing phone is moribund. I’m looking to upgrade from the 2020 iPhone SE I have to a newer iphone, and don’t have a good idea of what model/features are actually worth a damn. Assume I’m poor but still want an iphone, and hit me with recommendations.

Had a lovely time at MagicCon Amsterdam, catching up with old friends and making some new ones along the way. Considering the 1 hour time difference, I suspect I will face a lot of jetlag. 2am Commander games will do that to me ;)

It’s fascinating to me which things are dealbreakers for folks on dating apps. Everyone is allowed to be as picky as they’d like in that context, and there are plenty of reasonable ones, but occasionally it’ll be ‘If you’re a man that takes baths’. I’m not hot enough to get the ick that easily.

My random Sam Neil story. An actor friend of mine was cast in a small role on Peaky Blinders. Never receives his script pages. Discovers his role has been pushed to non speaking background, which is less fun/less money. Sam Neil spots him looking dejected on set and finds out.

Amongst other things today, I have - completed an escape room in under 20 minutes, beating the record by nearly 10 minutes - taken shelter from hunters in a house with the most insane collection of vaudeville posters I’ve ever seen - listened to rap about blood on the clocktower

Ages ago I went on a little Audible spree, in an effort to not waste credits. Now, at a time where I’m actually waiting for credits to refresh, I come to realise a book I’d been hankering after has been in my Audible Library for ages!

Somehow, in the weird story of the millionaire who is trying to live forever having taken a lot of blood transfusions from his son, who now appears to have a nasty disease hauntingly similar to host-graft reactions, the thing that most baffles me is that he’s only 4 years older than me.

My plans for MagicCon Amsterdam are so simple 1) Play lots of Magic 2) Catch up with old friends/meet new ones 3) Assorted contractually obliged bits as part of being on the Commander format panel 4) Aiming to only get in long discussions on Sol Ring’s legality when there is wine around Who’s in?

I love moments in TV/film where out of nowhere the audience is hit by the reality that an actor is actually a wicked musician. Jack Black in High Fidelity Bill Bailey in the piano episode of Black Books Noah Reed in Schitt’s Creek

I know that the internet loves to moan, and that the Magic version of that is dunking on universes beyond. Right now though, I’ve really enjoyed the games I’ve played with the Marvel Super Heroes set. I kind of like comics, but moreso, I’ve enjoyed the gameplay of the set thus far.

I got up at six and may well be late for work, in spite of planning ahead for poorly communicated rail works. Also I’m being charged more than normal for the privilege of this atrocious travel experience. I shall not be taking questions at this time.

Look, we all know that Reed loves Sue, but what if he *also* has a penchant for wibbly wobbly tentacle time? Is it a coincidence that Reed's art has him at peak tentacle, reaching toward the sea? I don't believe in coincidences.

The Magic card Mister Fantastic, Reed Richards, depicted stretching out like a big ol' noodle. His ability means whenever a token enters under your control you may draw a card. The Watcher in the Water Magic card. A kraken with a lot of tentacles, sat smugly in the water. Its ability creates a 1/1 tentacle token whenever you draw a card during an opponent's turn.
