For many years I thought Metallica was singing "Sad Patrol" which also seemed apt.

I used to tell my buddy Austin that his drag name was Austin Tayshus. We never really landed on what mine was. But I think it could be Tim Tayshuns.
Deciding what lane you're driving in is far easier than the average driver makes it appear.
While we've got a bunch of the worst people in the world keeling over one after the other, can we put in requests?
AI-first CEOs be like "But I was supposed to make infinite money for zero cost, not zero money for infinite cost!"
I took a gamble on a mango horchata. Mango and horchata are not friends. They aren't colleagues. They aren't even on speaking terms.
When I was a kid I'd ask my dad "why does it always rain on the 4th of July" and he'd say "God is crying over what we've done to this nation".
"I'm the only one who can fix all the stuff that got screwed up the last time you listened to me."
I got banned from reddit for saying "White supremacists are weird insecure losers." They called it "hate speech against a protected group" and refused to unban me. Is it reddit policy to protect and support white supremacy? www.reddit.com/user/Tim-Syl...

I love all these tough, manly, salt of the earth dudes breathlessly explaining how what America really needs the most is a fancy new ballroom.
Remember when "new" implicitly meant "and better"? "Check out my new phone | car | computer | appliance!" Now you have to include "... it's ok, but..." "the controls are touch instead of buttons..." "it's mostly plastic..." "it's subscription-gated..." "it's not real chocolate..."
What is wrong with these people? How in the world do they get taken in by this? And how do is it you know exactly what I'm talking about?
I think Anthropic rushed Opus 4.8 because of how poorly 4.7 was received. 4.7's MO was "let me do a crappy job quickly, over and over". I've only been using 4.8 for like an hour and it's already clearly better than 4.7, which was a huge step down from 4.5/4.6.
That my corn tortillas assure me they're "made with real corn" raises more questions than it answers. I never once doubted it until they brought it up. Now I wonder why they feel the need to say it.

The latest in AI headlines: "How 'quietly became' quietly became 'quietly became'." For details, read practically any news site, all of which quietly became AI slop regurgitation factories.

On this Memorial day, remember: All wars are bank wars America is owned by the rich who exploit the poor Naive young men die to enrich bitter old men America is not a nation of laws America is not a nation of equality or equal protection The only divide that matters is rich vs poor
"such and such has quietly" and "handle it carefully" are the new em dash and "it's not [this], it's [that]".
Me, looking at code I wrote a year ago: "What kind of idiot wrote this? Good Lord!"
My God a public service is giving the public what they want. This long, strange nightmare is finally over. Thank a librarian.
Recently I spent an entire morning trying to correct an error in the application I’m building. After hours of trying, I figured out what was wrong and corrected it. I ran the tests again — and hit a different error. It wasn’t resolution, it was progress. medium.com/p/e6654d0f8290

What I love about developing with AI is you can get a wrong answer immediately. With StackOverflow you'd have to wait hours, days even, to get a wrong answer.
Iran's Lego vids certainly humiliate Trump--this new one sure does.
If you vote for a liar despite everyone telling you he's a liar, and then later you get mad that he lied to you, you might be an idiot.
I eat a lot of disappointing blueberries and cantaloupes but every so often I find a pack of blueberries or a cantaloupe that reminds me why I do it.
