Broken wrists update: The left break is a hairline wrist fracture, the right is a hand fracture. I don't have any pain, and I'm wearing a brace on my left hand. The right is covered in mummy wrap. I see the ortho doc in 9 days. Hopefully, I won't need any surgery.
Got home. Christine decided I needed to go to ER. Got a couple stitches for my head wound, a brace for left hand, and a splint for right. Verdict: 2 broke wrists, one worse than the other. I've never broken a bone before.

I'm doing okay today after yesterday's fall. I've got quite a black eye and my wrists are sore. I'm icing the eye on and off, and it's looking a little better. I've decided to crowd source a better excuse than I fell in a parking lot. Any ideas?
Gen Con's been fun, but I fell in a parking lot and got banged up pretty good. EMT's said I was probably okay, but I went to an ER anyway, just in case. I'm in the waiting room now. I'm trying to make myself believe this doesn't count as my first old man fall, but it probably does. Sigh.

Here's something I hadn't considered. I wonder if any AI "authors" will try sending their books to established non-AI authors for blurbs? Needless concern or one more goddamned thing to worry about?
The "authors shouldn't read reviews from readers" discourse is back. I always read reviews. I want to see if the book did what I wanted it to, and I sometimes gain valuable insights. I'm lucky, though. Since my reviews tend to be positive overall, I don't get depressed or angry reading them.
Watched this batshit crazy Italian film on Tubi today. It's a slasher/ghost story/zombie story that takes place in a mansion where an avant garde porn film is being shot.

Saw Evil Dead Burn today and enjoyed it! Nothing about the violence or gore bothered me. Evil Dead movies are like blood-soaked cartoons to me, but this one had a solid emotional core as well. The two extra scenes during and after the credits were fun, too.
