I get tired of football commentators saying things like how often a team wins after scoring the first goal. Yes, in a sport where scoring is infrequent, your chances of continuing to win once you are ALREADY winning are quite good. This is not worthy of such frequent comment.
On an iPhone, either go into privacy settings and deny Recon access to your precise location (it will just get a cell tower), or… I’m seriously considering deactivating until they listen.

Hopefully a file explaining EXACTLY how this is exploited with a real-world example will convince them it's a real concern. Please share this with your network.
The revamp of @reconnews.bsky.social just gets worse. On my desktop I typed my city name for the location to set it manually, but because I didn’t move the pin, it seems it is now PERMANENTLY set at the centre of the city. Meaning all the information about nearby profiles is permanently wrong.
@reconnews.bsky.social apparently does not understand the fundamental difference between “5 kilometres away” and “5 kilometres away in this specific suburb and if you move the pin around you can narrow it down even more”. Until they do, they will turn a lot of users off.
The Recon app redesign has found another way to be stupid: location information that is accurate rather than meaningful. It shows my specific suburb which is useless to anyone I might chat to who doesn’t live in this city and isn’t familiar with it.
Could people just take a day or two off from displaying their thoughtlessness and stupidity on social media? It’s getting tiring. Some white cis heterosexual monolingual English speakers seem unable to grasp that other kinds of people are allowed to exist.
Today has been one of those days where I’ve wanted to die. I won’t, but I’ve wanted to. Triggered by trying to reach out and be part of the kink community, and failing. And feeling like I won’t ever succeed. When you feel weird and different even in a kink space, it’s pretty devastating.
If #Trump actually believes that doctors heal people by the laying on of hands, that just makes it worse.

Turns out that the IOC struggles with understanding the difference between the existence of a gene and the expression of it. Most of the people affected by this will be cis women with certain intersex characteristics. Women who have been regarded by society as female their entire lives.
