I’ve been chatting with someone on Instagram who has a kitty the same age as Boo who also has diabetes, pancreatitis, and IBD 🥺 they seem to be a little older than me & have had 7 years experience w feline diabetes w their other cat and it’s SO nice to talk to someone who gets it 🥹

Boo’s sensor ended earlier tonight and I figured we could give him a break tonight from his sensor and his tshirt… I just checked his blood sugar before bed manually and it’s dropping I think but idk if it will be too much or what :/ not sure that I should go to sleep tonight

today my city had severe storm alerts all day saying there was risk of golf ball sized hail and tornadoes, and I packed up emergency bags in case we had to get down to the parkade, but the storm was just intense wind & rain for 5 mins and then it was sunny after lol

just want to put my hair in a braid for bedtime but every Tim I’ve completed the braid, there are hairs in the back of my scalp pulling funny & it hurts sigh

bsky friends, I have excellent news! so boo had his big 6 month checkup on Monday & I got his lab results back today. our vet called me & first thing she says to me is “are you ready to do a happy dance?” all of his numbers have significantly improved!! his body is healing 🥹

I haven’t been able to update my iOS in FOREVERRR. I was stuck at iOS 17 bc I didn’t have enough room on my phone to download the updates. I didn’t delete anything so I’m confused but my phone decided to update last night. I am an iOS 26 baddie now. look at my screens

forgive me for saying this, but I have a campfire bbq to go to tonight with all my coworkers and bosses and all I can think abt is how they all will immediately notice how much weight I’ve gained since they last saw me :(

Boo likes to be held, bc I’ve always picked him up his whole life, & let him down carefully when he wants to be put down. usually if I’m holding him & I sit down, he immediately wants out of my arms but just now I sat down while holding him & he just stayed in my arms, content as could be 🥹

I have enough work for 4 people to do but there’s just me. I want to lie face down on the pavement

got up at 12:45am for a bowl of cereal and some cookies bc I’m starving???? lol should be sleeping but ok

my bf went to bed at 10:30, and boo followed him to bed tonight and is sleeping on the bed 🥹 it’s 11pm now and I just finished getting boo’s middle of the night snacks prepped, water dish refilled, and my face washed and both of them are fast asleep. too stinkin cute.

ended up taking the whole day off work today so I could enjoy my quiet, freshly cleaned over the weekend apartment, and spend time with Boo while he had a good sugar day. fell asleep & took an amazing nap. woke up to something that made me mad… now I am just:

Boo had his big 6 month check up this morning and it went well! everyone loved his little tshirt and we are hoping his blood work & urinalysis shows some better trends regarding his pancreas, kidneys, and heart 🫶🏻
